On a similar note I came across this thread at allnurses.com:

Held down and forced to take the flu shot

Basically someone wrote in and said that a couple of employees of a nursing home were physically held down and forced to get a flu shot. I was interested in the thread at first but the more I think about it the more I question the veracity of this. How could this be possible in this day and age? Wouldn’t the nursing home administrators know that this constitutes assault? I will continue to follow this thread to try and determine if it is true.

On a personal note, after week 4 of giving out flu shots to hospital employees, I AM SO TIRED OF TRYING TO CONVINCE PEOPLE TO GET THE SHOT. I can’t wait until this assignment is over. One more week of this and I will start a new assignment of floating to the ICU every weekend at the same hospital. I never thought I’d say this but I can’t wait to get back to the ICU.
