Very good. Simple, but hoping to build character by cellaring. 2007. $20.

2007. $39.99. Lovely, well balanced. One to drink, one to cellar. 95 pts, Parker. “Tobacco, dark coffee, tea, minerals, blackberries, licorice.” I couldn’t taste any of this due to a cold but think it’s worth cellaring.

2007. 14.5%. Wonderful wine if you are either (a) eating a ribeye or (b) need a stiff one. Love it. $18.

Very good. 2008. $20. I don’t know why I was expecting it to be lighter. Can’t remember what I ate it with but I remember thinking it would be versatile.

Very drinkable. Exactly what I want in a $10 wine. Would consider buying a case.

Disgusting. I think this was highly recommended by the sommelier at Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits. Don’t think I will take any more suggestions from them. Ready to swear off Spanish wines. Good thing it was cheap ($12).

Brett alert! Could not even drink this. It’s a shame because it was $20. First time that a French wine was too bretty. There goes my theory that the French no how to handle their brett.

Surprisingly good $12 wine. Drank with chix cax and buttery egg noodles. Great combo. Positively no brett.

Very good. No brett. With or without food. Tastes like a wimpy zin or an overly robust cab-merlot mix.
